What is the California C39 License?
The California C39 License is for roofing contractors. These professionals install and repair surfaces that seal, waterproof, and weatherproof structures. Their work aims to prevent water or its derivatives from penetrating protective layers and gaining access to material or space beyond. To obtain this license, you’ll need to follow a structured process, including applying for the license and passing two state exams: the Law & Business exam and the C39 Trade exam. If you’re interested in roofing work, this license is essential!
How often do I need to renew my C39 license?
The California C39 License requires biennial renewal. You’ll need to renew it every two years to maintain your active status. Keep an eye on the expiration date and submit your renewal application on time!
