The Illinois Residential Roofing exam consists of 75 questions over a 90 minute span. You may not bring books into the exam and must rely on your knowledge of the study materials from the National Roofing Contractors association. Each participant must have two (2) sharpened Number 2 graphite pencils in black. Additionally, individuals are allowed to bring a portable or pocket calculator that is non-programmable, non-printing, and powered by solar energy or batteries. It’s important to note that there will be no power sources available for calculators at the test venue. Furthermore, any other types of calculators, computers, electronic devices, markers, or writing implements are strictly prohibited during the examination.

Upon successfully passing the Illinois Roofing Residential Exam, candidates can obtain a residential roofing license issued by the IDFPR.
