95% of trade exams are open book. Knowing how to navigate the books and where to locate the answers are key. No two of the exams you take at CPE are the same.
Contractor Practice Exams
You will have the same alotted time and questions as you would at the testing center. You should strive to pass the test three times in a row before scheduling your final exam.
After Testing
After you have completed the test, the answers you missed will be given to you as well as where to find them in the books. You will also have access to where to schedule your final trade exam as well as tips and the materials needed for the exam.
Practice makes perfect
Although you don’t need to ace the test, you do need to know how to navigate through the books with speed and efficiency. CPE Exams are based on the same time and question alottment as the actual tests.
No one knows what the exact questions will be, but knowing how to find the answers is the key to get a passing grade. A 70% is passing for most trade exams and with only getting roughly 2 minutes per question, knowing how to find the answers is what you need to focus on.
C’s get degrees. It doesn’t matter if you get a 72% and someone else gets a 95%. You both have the same degree and are able to do the same job and make the same money.
